I feel compeled to cut to the chase and jot these down pronto:
Article after article and it's all the same... "Global Warming is friggin' real and we're all so gonna be wiped off the face of Earth soon!" (Not exactly what was imprinted on paper though it should have been. And I don't intend to hurt my bum by paraphrasing all that I've learned in the news so far.) Exaggerated? I say not. I mean, how soon is soon? 50 years is soon. 10 years is also soon. So is five years, one year, one month, even a week! And if by any chance you're beginning to stir a bit and be taken aback or feel sorry for yourself or on the verge of sobbing over the fact that by then (whenever that will be), you won't get to lay hands on the key to that fabulous Porsche you promised you're gonna get for yourself two promotions from now, I urge you to direct your focus to the childcare centre you see across the street or simply, to your own mini flesh and blood (if you have any) who won't get to grow up to enjoy their horrific high school years. I'm just kidding about the high school thing. I meant to type "terrific." Yeah, right. Anyhow, the point is, without Earth, where are you gonna have your fun with the rest of your life with all that money you've earned, all that time you've saved, and all that love you've flourished? Think about it for just a sec. Just think. 'Cause it just ain't all that hard to. So let us all gather our brains and hearts, roll up our sleeves and work to save our darling planet Earth from ever attempting to commit suicide! If you've got oodles of Earth-loving tips swimming about in your head, by all means, dismiss and plaster them right here or on your own e-crib or wherever peeps around the world can see and copy. Such juicy knowledge is meant to be shared, not kept and left to rot. So if there's no weighty reason that you should wait to go green, please do so now -- and spread the word. Thank you and God bless :) | w o r d s | Mar 16, 2008 |
